Bali is filled with Royal Kingdom Histories, princesses, sultans, queens, and the list go on. With every rich culture, there's color, dances, and folk music waited to be showcased. Stepping in Bali, right at the airport, you are welcomed with intricate masks and monuments of lavish monkeys with such expressive facial reactions. How can we go all the way this part of the world, travel 24 hours flight and see for ourself what is the buzz is all about? We pull the trigger on
Monuments are tribute to the past and history. Living in the city, we have tons of them - some I like, and some not too much. Walking in the Sultan's Palace, we are welcomed with Wayang sound - Wayang stands for Puppet Theatre. It's pretty surreal to see at least 20 folks playing with huge gongs, and drums in order to showcase a story of the past. With music, and loudness, you feel the intensity. In a foreign language, and yet the puppets and music seems to collide and ma
Life's meant to be experienced. Eat, Pray, Love is for most part the reason why Indonesia is one of the most sought destinations to find oneself. Though I came here not to do that, but live life, explore, and try new things. It's hard not to find yourself when you're surrounded by nature, calm creatures, and all the good things in life. Something about the thought of exploring a completely different venue with different setting that pushes you to plan a trip outside Bali.
As sucker for all pampering and couple things, part of our package is a massage. It's not quite as advertised on having massage bed by the pool, with elephants on the other fence, though I am thankful for that. You see there's funny thing about nature. It's great, pretty, and wild, at the same time painful, exhausting, and a bit smelly. Whenever, there's a chance to have the best of both world, meaning take the the good without the bad, it's always a win, win. Right below o
I've said this before and will say it again, Bali took our river rafting virginity! For a couple who lives on street with houses and apartments on top of each other, and body of water that I'm not sure to what to made out of, it's pretty from far but wouldn't dare to go in it, I'm not prepare for the Ayung River. We rush to the front desk, and among others we get our ride to head to the office. Bali seems to have festival almost everyday, so streets are always decorated.
Elephants, elephants, and elephants, unique theme for this trip. Though I'm not ready for a real safari experience in place like Africa, sure is ready to touch, feel, and play with elephants. I got just that. About an hour drive from Ubud Centre, located is a conservatory for the giant mammals. There's a really sad story as to how this resort came about. The lodge's main goal is to save as much giants as they can. There's a part of Indonesia, in Mantra to be exact, that
Island of the Gods, they say, Bali has one of the most exotic rice paddies, overlapping mountains, and really, any fairytale that you want to create, it's possible in Bali. 24 hours flight from New York, the worst part of the trip may I add, but the rest is pure bliss. Bali is an island within the Indonesia archipelago. An island that always topped the world tourism, which means the professionals of the professionals are here to create your dream getaway: #1: Wake up t
